3-4-3 three books for free.3-4-3

Time limited free offer!

Free Offer:

Kittie Cracks Case on Kindle for a limited time.

Edit edit:

Been hard at it, editing that is, all this last week.

Another free offer:

This time from Solstice.

Time-limited Free Offer:

Shroedinger book cover 1I finally got around to a long-overdue edit of my first book, Kittie Cracks case.

Apart from losing a lot of ‘right, rights’ I tried to tidy up the formatting and made a couple of minor changes. The story and characters are the same but if you’d like to download a slightly ‘better’ version then the eBook is available from all Amazon sites FREE next week. The offer runs from the 24th to the 28th Feb.

Edit, edit:

This last week has been a busy one. Apart from re-editing Kittie Cracks Case and uploading to both Kindle and CreateSpace (for the paperback version) I’ve been going through both the Tim books which Solstice sent me to check over.

Fortunately my writing, or to be more precise punctuation and spelling, has got a little better since I first started writing so although  Eliezer’s Journey was a mammoth task to correct, The Mysterious Dr LeMesurier was a lot easier and quicker to do and by the time I came to look at the two Tim books it was really just a case of running a spelling and grammar check. There were a few rogue commas to remove but that was about it. One of the joys of being published as opposed to self-publishing is that formatting is taken care of for me. I didn’t do a particularly good job of inserting John’s great illustrations into the original manuscript and wasn’t looking forward to repeating the exercise. Luckily I didn’t have to!

One other bit of news on the editing front is I’m now one of Solstice’s free-lance editors. I’m not sure how much work I’ll get but every little bit helps!

Solstice Publishing free offer:

As far as I know this isn’t a time limited offer! Solstice have started a drive to get more book reviews. If you have an Amazon account they’d like to give you some books to read for free. All you have to do is agree to post an honest review on your Amazon site. Take a look at their site and decide which books you’d like to review then contact them and let them know you’d like to do it. Mention my name….that’ll make the books even free-er. Well, perhaps not but say I sent you anyway. Remember, they want honest reviews, just posting a five-star review and saying ‘how wonderful’ doesn’t really help anyone and tends to make Amazon suspicious. They got burnt a while back because there was some sort of ‘mass-review scam’ going on. I think a site had been set-up where authors could pay for to have a favorable review posted. Amazon got wind of it and got sniffy about favourable reviews for a while.
